WeCare are open and transparent and will ensure that you are fully included, consulted and in agreement about your care and treatment. We will keep you up to date regularly with any developments, changes, issues or concerns within the company. Should there be a mistake made, then we will ensure that we apologies and work with you to reassure you through our lessons learnt process.
Respecting your choices and rights as an individual while you are receiving care and treatment. This includes making sure:
· That we know your preferences.
· We listen to your choices.
· You are supported to remain independent and involved on how you chose to live your life.
Planning and agreeing with you or your advocate how your care needs will be met. Assessing your needs regularly and making adjustment or changes to your support plan, ensuring that you have a voice..
You (or anybody legally acting on your behalf) must give your consent before any care or treatment is given to you.
You must not suffer any form of abuse or improper treatment while receiving care. Every individual has the right to live their life free from harm or injury and be supported to raise any concerns without feeling worry or concerned of discrimination or ill treatment.
We provide support with accessing appropriate food and drink through shopping, meal preparation, cooking and serving your meals, there is also the opportunity for you to have companionship when eating making the experience much more enjoyable.
We will respect your property at all times and ensure that we take great care whilst supporting you. When supporting you with the use of specialist equipment we will ensure that this is used in line with the guidance provided by other health professionals to ensure your safety and well-being, also will ensuring the equipment is clean and fit for purpose.
We believe that everyone should have the right to raise a complaint if they are not satisfied with the service they are receiving without feeling intimidated or worried by doing so. At WeCare we see complaints as a healthy way to improve our services based on your feedback and the feedback of your support network along with those of our staff team
As part of our commitment to providing excellent care and support we will on regular occasions ask for your feedback about your experiences with WeCare as your provider. We will record your feedback and publish our findings for individuals to see how we responded to what You Said, We Listened, We Did, to further enhance the positive experience of receiving care and support.
